Mancers are a humans that are able to manipulate the world around them to their will.   They are born with these abilities and are considered blessed by the gods for having them.  

This race of humans were gentically altered at birth by the Alterians (Ancients) to carry a genetic defect if deemed to become to powerful by the oracles of Edenia.  Anyone with this genetic defect ends up either dying or undergoing genetic manipulation to remove their abilities, which was also designed by the Alterians (Ancients).

There are five main types of Mancers:

1. Aeromancer - Able to bend the air around them to their wills
2. Cryomancers - Able to bend the water around them to their wills
3. Electromancers - Able to control electricity around them.
4. Pyromancers  - Able to bend the fire around them to their wills
5. Terramancers - Able to bend the land around them to their wills
