Became gaurdian of Cassandra Fraiser after Janet Fraiser died for a short time.   Cassandra is an human alien from the planet named Hanka.

During second year with stargate program she taken over by a Tok'ra symbiote, Jolinar of Malkshur.   The Tok'ra sacrificed herself to save Carter thus leaving her with with memories of the Tok'ra and a protein marker in her blood allowing her to use Goa'uld technology such as hand and Healing Devices.

Took over for Dr. Elizabeth Weir as leader of the Earth's Atlantis Expedition in the Pegasus Realm.

 Rejoined the SGC after learning about the rogue elementals being released due to the Tau'ri's interference with the Gou'ald
